How it works

List, chat, meet and buy

RigYard connects people buying and selling computers in the UK. We host the listings and the conversation. The deal itself is between you and the other person.

For sellers

  1. Create a free account and verify your email address. Tell us whether you sell as a private individual or a business.
  2. Describe your computer. Pick a category and condition, then add the specs. Paste a PCPartPicker list or the output of a system info tool and we'll pre-fill the form for you to check.
  3. Add 1–12 photos. Show the inside of the case, the PC powered on, and a photo with a note showing your username and today's date. Buyers trust listings that do this.
  4. Set your price and handover options: collection, delivery or both. Only your town is shown publicly, never your address.
  5. Pay the listing fee and go live. See pricing. Listings run for a set period and can be renewed.
  6. Chat with buyers in your inbox, accept or counter offers, mark the item reserved, and mark it sold when the deal is done.

For buyers

  1. Search and filter by category, price, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, distance from your postcode and more. Save searches to get an email when something new matches.
  2. Check the details: the full spec table, benchmarks, photos, the seller's rating, response time and badges.
  3. Message the seller or make an offer. You need a verified account to message. Keep conversations on RigYard so you're protected by our safety tools.
  4. Meet and test before you pay. Power it on, check the specs in the BIOS and Task Manager, and run a game or benchmark. Read our Stay Safe guide.
  5. Pay the seller directly in the way you agree. Cash on collection is the simplest option. Never pay by bank transfer before you've seen the item.
  6. Leave a review once the seller marks the item sold to you.

We're a venue, not a party to the sale

RigYard doesn't own, inspect or sell the items listed, and we never handle the payment for them. Buyers and sellers make their own arrangements and contract directly with each other. If you buy from a business seller, you have extra legal rights. See seller obligations.
